We were able to complete 11 crib sized quilts for the Humanitarian Center. The picture above shows the ladies tying hair to put on the humanitarian dolls. Ladies also donated fabric for doll dresses. We enjoyed our own packed lunches and cookies from the Cookie Tree.
* Special K Candy by Jennifer Jensen. Recipe lists peanut butter, but it should be real Butter
*Stuffed French Toast by Rosalie Nolan. Recipe does not list 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese in ingredients.
*Mississippi Mud Cake by Hazel Beck. Recipe lists marshmallows as part of the cake ingredients, but it should be separated from the list. The marshmallows go on top of the cooked hot cake to melt. Also the recipe for the frosting should list 1/2 c. evaporated milk, 1/2 c. butter, and only 1 tsp vanilla along with the powdered sugar, cocoa, and nuts.
*Banana Cake by Britta Hughes. Add to recipe 1 tsp baking soda.
*Chinese Rice (p. 34) by Barbara Woolsey. The recipe reads 2 medium onions, chopped. That should be changed to 2 med. carrots, chopped. The 2 green onions are correct.
*Corn and Sausage Casserole (p. 49) by Janice Thomas. The recipe calls for mexican niblets. It should say 1 cup Mexicorn.
*Apple Pudding Cake (p.88) by Rosalie Nolan. The recipe leaves out 4 large apples, chopped small & 1 cup nut chopped nuts (she uses pecans). Also, it calls for condensed milk, but we think she means evaporated milk. In the sauce it says to boil, but it should say, "cook til well blended, but not boiled."
